Goldrun is a social media app that uses augmented reality to connect you with friends, your city and the brands you love. Users take on a 'run' and pursue it across their city based on clues and proximity - they then 'grab' virtual objects for rewards, prizes, discounts and more. interacting with brands in the augmented/virtual space like this is a new frontier. working with vivian rosenthal of tronic studios on version 1 and 2, I was involved in branding, ui, website and strategy. the app has been successful and is being actively used every day - by such clients as NBC TV, Playboy, H&M, Ford, NYC, style.com, Airwalk and more. Airwalk recently won a d&AD for using this app to setup a virtual popup store.
